Space Frontier Conference 13On Board the Queen Mary

Welcome to the Space Frontier Conference 13! This year's event took place at the fabulous Queen Mary, the famous British Cruise Liner now a hotel permanently docked in Long Beach, California.
This year, the Space Frontier Foundation has much to celebrate. Just a few days before the conference, The SpaceShipOne Team from Mojave, California won the coveted X PRIZE! All over the news, private space travel, and even space tourism, is being discussed, and even taken seriously. For years, the Space Frontier Foundation was the "voice in the wilderness:" trying to educate and convince the U.S. Congress and private investors that private space travel is possible and practical. The flight of SpaceShipOne is a huge psychological victory, which we hope will open new opportunities for other start-up space businesses.
